Beach Bobbies Restaurant & Cocktail
Bar is situated within the Port Edward holiday Resort at
the foot of Tragedy Hill. It is virtually on the Indian Ocean,
at the entry to Port Edward's main beach, and
commands spectacular views of the pristine stretches of
Silver Beach.
Previously known as “Silver Beach Restaurant” and then
“Waterfront Restaurant”, Beach Bobbies is a family
restaurant that offers exceptional ambiance with dishes
and drinks to impress the palate of any gourmet.
The menu has been carefully chosen
to cater for a wide range of palates and
each dish is freshly prepared. For the not so hungry,
smaller dishes are available and if patrons would
rather dine in their chalet but not do self-catering,
take-outs are the way to go.
The décor within the restaurant depicts the policing
environment and criminal history within South Africa and
global spheres. Surrounded by this most ingenious décor,
being pampered by the friendliest of staff and with
stunning views of the Indian Ocean, one is destined to
remain as long as possible and to return again and
again.
Patrons can enjoy the excitement of
ski-boat launches and landings whilst savouring a meal or
simply sip cocktails and marvel at the magnificent African
sunsets.
The restaurant also caters for conference groups,
weddings and functions. Many specials are offered and
known as 'Prison Meals of the Day'.
